Conceptualisation and Execution: With business and individuals in the grip of a lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic, Vodacom Red had to adjust thinking and find creative ways to reward their long-term customers and we assisted from ideation to implementation.
Cooking was identified as a passion point for many female subscribers on the high-value plans, Vodacom Red partnered with award winning celebrity chef Lorna Maseko to host live virtual cooking classes. From August to November, over 60 customers got to experience a money-can’t-buy Vodacom Red signature experience. Guests received personalised aprons and a full hamper of groceries to prepare the specially curated menus.
Everybody socially distanced in their respective homes, Lorna was zoomed into their homes to complete the cook. Unlike many other virtual cooks, customers had the opportunity to ask questions if they were unsure about the stage of the cook. Surprise guests including Something and Thapelo Mokoena added surprise and delight to the experience.
